Today’s pharmaceutical packaging landscape is complex, with new requirements, products, and market demands surfacing continuously. Although manufacturers are meeting these challenges every day, they regularly tu to contract packagers to handle particular situations, such as specialized packaging, overflow, and volume. As they look to contract packagers, some manufacturers’ products also require serialization to address regulations or to protect high value products. Stora Enso has signed the first Pharma DDS packaging solution license agreements in the US and in Europe. Sharp Corporation and Stora Enso will partner in the contract packaging of pharmaceutical products into Pharma DDS cartons. Simultaneously an agreement has been reached with Cadmus Whitehall Group and with rlc packaging group to produce printed and converted components of Pharma DDS carton.

Sharp Corporation is pleased to announce the addition of Laura Zurlinden to the Account Executive team. Laura comes to Sharp with over 10 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry. She will be supporting sales efforts on the West Coast. Laura is also a Michigan State graduate with a Bachelor's of Science in Packaging.
